Drop Nineteens? Fucking awesome, right? Well, we just dropped (episode) 19 and it's awesome too.

Totally awesome.
As awesome as the Drop Nineteens tripped-out, early 90's, shoegaze, guitar bliss?
No.
But, what can I say? I really liked the track 'Winona'. Just always reminds me of makin-out with a pretty pretty girl in the park, on a sunny sunny day. Awesome.
Anyway, speaking of awesome make-out sessions...another thing i really like are movies! And listeners, boy howdy did you 'make-out' like a bandit on our lastest, nay I say greatest, episode.
First, we're drunk. So that's back.
We're slower to our points...but, there is more fire in our bellies.(or is that beer in our...) We have also settled on a production schedule, so you fans have that to look forward too. Also, we promised merch, 'real' and not 'no' prizes, more blog posts, tweets, facebook updates, and actual 'Fat and Skinny' events. Some of this will surely happen...others...well, we are nothing if not well intentioned.
And that's not even mentioning THE MOVIES we get into.
Ladies and Gentlemen...hold on to your butts.
First up is Enter The Void. It sez Into the Void on our Itunes. That's because we hate the facts. All the facts!

Also, did you know that Chev Chelios is gonna remake the Bronson movie the Mechanic. Yeah, we don't know exactly how to fell about it either. We watched the original just to prepare. Charles is Brawn's Son.
Almost more mustache, than man...
Next we get onto 'Rapid Fire'. It stars 'The Crow'. I have not seen it...and can't reacall the show...which normally i listen to...but...
Lastest but surely not leastest...we get into The Loved Ones. Not to be confused with Evelyn Waugh's novel that spurred the 1965 movie of the same title. (Which is also amazing...stars a young Jonathan Winters, and is also a movie of high recommendation) No, this is the 2009 Australian teen-torture, future, classic that has flabbed the gaskets of all us here at the FSGM floating movie observatory.
...we've posted it on our facebook, like, twice already...but, dang. Look at that shit. It's Craaaaaaaaaay-zaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!
...and just because I'm your favorite. Here's Winona.
...find me later if you just wanna watch movies and make-out.

Fat and Skinny are GO

I jumped the gun and uploaded episode 19 before I told Matt, he said he'd write the post. In the meantime, I wanted to get it out there.

FSGM 18, Year in review!

Once again, we are barely holding this thing together. I decided it would be a good time to do a decade wrap-up and Matt points out that would have been better last year. He's right! Fuck that, he let's me do i anyway. What a guy. Too much to summarize, so just enjoy random banter. I dare you to try and follow us, it's not easy. Happy New Year and thanks to you all, Jason

In Seventeen, everything is fine. As the lady in the radiator sings our praises...Episode 17 Episode 17

Recorded on the Tuesday, which some call November the 16th.
I got off work and biked over to Jason's to record episode 17...of the podcast everyone is apparently screaming about...Fat and Skinny Go To the Movies.
I kinda skipped lunch. (I've been skipping meals lately). But, Jason made me some Pizza Rolls anyway. He had a burrito...and there were some chips too. From SanChez...they know how to make a chip. I haven't been sleeping well, so i had more and more coffee...but nothing was seeming to help.
It's another dry episode...which may be for the best. It was the middle of the afternoon. Besides, I think all my drinking is giving me high blood pressure. I can feel it in my left arm and in my fingers.
Still, that doesn't stop it from being the best podcast ever recorded...by anyone...(much less us)

And like always...we are always all over the map.
So pull the fucking globe out you humps...we fly to Italy and beyond the stars and talk about The Visitor. then it's to sunny ol' Britain for the Jihadist comedy Four Lions.(Which apparently IS playing at The Lumiere here in SF), then it's back to the states, back in time, and into a video game as I am currently(like electrical currently) uber pumped for TRON...and just to ruin it for everyone, we talk about Walking Dead. It's a TV show. It's quite popular.
(and yes, it's also a comic...they're all from comics these days)
I think we ever shoehorn in some Goonies.

Damn.
We're Good.

OK, I'm gonna lie down and listen to the new episode.
It's been an another assy 48 hours.

And I always dig Jason's production.

Fat and Skinny Check Out Cinema by the Bay

Here in SF, it feels as if there is some sort of film festival every weekend. This weekend, however, San Francisco Film Society makes it a little more personal by presenting Cinema by the Bay, a celebration of Bay Area film makers. There are shorts, documentaries, and features, both fiction and non. (Some even have subtitles!) Our friends over at Bay Area Bourgeois have asked us to to take a little time out of our busy, schlocky movie-watching schedule and check out some of the program. We actually got a press kit and our first dvd advance screeners. It’s almost like real live journalism.

View the complete schedule here and purchase tickets here.

Matt's review of the Opening night feature is already up, go check it out.

Cheers, Jason

Boo! Episode 16.

Hey it's Halloween and we decided to talk about... Halloween! Not the most creative concept in blog history I know, but we have the yet to be famous big brother of Fat to round out the panel. I guess if you are around when we do a show you're in. We also talk about our scariest movie moments of all time. Oh, and did you know that Paul Rudd was in Halloween 6?

Happy Halloween,
Jason

Kevin Cross sits in.

Artist, musician, and fellow podcaster Kevin Cross sits in and shows Fat and Skinny how it's done. We discuss Rock-n-Roll movies (Urgh!, Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains, Live Forever), sort of, and just have a good time. I hope it's fun to listen to. If you keep listening after the outro, you find a bonus 15 minutes of useless banter. I thought it was funny, I might have been wrong.

Cheers, Jason
