When Animals Attack! Episode 6.

We have 1000+ downloads! Thanks everyone. You complete us. As this new episode airs we sit a the edge of a new era. An era filled with reboots, reimaginings, remakes, updates, sequels, and TV adaptations, and all in incredible 3D! In episode 6 we don't talk about any of that flapdoodle. Instead, we cover smaller, older, sometimes poorly made flicks that deserve to be unearthed and enjoyed in the homes of a different kind of film lover. The kind of film lover that would listen to a couple of jokers yammer on for an hour about whatever with little or no preparation. But you are out there. And we love you.

We are all over the place, again. We cover Phase 4, a classic deadly ant movie, which then turns into a loose discussion about animal attack movies. When I say loose, I mean we have no idea what we are saying. We just go.

Then there's Sometimes They Come Back, Dead Man's Shoes, and Reflecting Skin. All thoroughly covered with elegant articulation you have come to expect from the broadcasting professionals here at Fat and Skinny. If you keep listening, we'll keep talking.

Cheers, Jason

Thinner was a Bachman Book, The Bachman Books are not Different Seasons, and I thought Different Seasons was Skeleton Crew.

Just when you thought we were gone...we come back like champions.
Off the cuff, totally exhausted, makin' stuff up as we go, beer drinkin' CHAMPIONS!
Or, at least, I was.
Thought I should get that outta the way.

Sorry, about the lag between Episode 4 and 5. That was largely my fault. As it turns out one of my roommates bought a house 5 months ago and then gave us a 30 day notice...my other roommate is a vampire....so there ya go. Epic, wild, and crazy.
Actually, Episode 5 was recorded on Friday night just moments after Jason came over to the 'Attic Oasis' to help take apart furniture. That Saturday, I woke up to move all my stuff into storage.
....thus, the inaccuracies. I even knew that Thinner was a Bachman book...  Le Sigh, it was that damned 1996 movie that confused the heck outta me. Couldn't picture the book cover in my mind, just that ultra-photoshop-surreal movie poster. Yeesh.
And have you ever thought about how many Stephen King movies have been made. Start to make a mental list, and you start to go mental. From obvious ones like Carrie (1976).  To ones that one may forget (cuzz it's so unlike his other work),  Stand By Me (1986). To stuff I know you forgot (or at least should have) The Langoliers (1995). Remember, it was that TV movie starring Balki Bartokomous (Bronson Pinchot) as the dick executive who gets eaten by a silver CG pac-man.

We should totally do a King episode!!!!!
(but, we probably won't)
Oh, and considering all the King movies that have been made. The Mist was actually the last one made in 2007. Crazy, huh?

Anyhoo, expect us to get back to our regular schedule ASAP. We got all sort of movies ta talk to ya about.
Episode 5 is awesome, I think you'll really dig it. Take a drink every time you hear me make a slurping sound, say "basically" or "what I'm saying" and you'll sure to be fucked up by the end.

In closing, big ups to all our fans/listeners.
Stay Posi

Just a few words...

Well, it’s been awhile since we did a show. I assure you we have been very busy in our day to day lives, it ain’t easy being superheroes. Art, parenting, moving, Wondercon, it’s a big ticket to fill. Yeah, you read it right, Matt will be behind a table somewhere in Wondercon selling stuff. I will be attending but not showing. You should check it out. They have celebrities, comics, movies, toys, and people dressed up like stuff. I go for the ladies. My favorite is the Artists’ Alley. last year I met Mike Mignola, creator of Hellboy. Our good buddy Josh is there doing sketches and selling prints. There is a premier of “Kick Ass!” too. It looks to be a real hoot.

Fat and Skinny has been downloaded over 500 times as of this posting and we want to thank everyone for the support. Keep spreading the word. We plan to do a new show first of the week.  I’ve seen some good stuff in the last two weeks and can’t wait to get Matt’s opinion. The weekend is upon us, fire up the grill, drink some beer and watch some movies.

Cheers, Jason
